As the owner and CEO of AG Media Agency, Alexandria Green-Jones comes equipped with extensive experience and a genuine understanding of the mass media industry including; video production, project management and corporate photography. Alex Green is a graduate of James E. Taylor High School in Katy, Texas and she holds a degree in Mass Media Communications from Wiley United Methodist College. Alex also mastered photography at the renowned Brooks Institute Film and Photography School in Ventura California.
After graduating from college Alex completed an internship with 93.7 the beat as an on-air radio personality and board op professional for the Wendy Williams Experience in Shreveport Louisiana. Following the conclusion of the internship, Alex returned to her hometown of Houston Texas, and worked her way up the corporate print media ladder starting as the assistant to the Regional Director for Rolling Out Magazine. With hard work and persistence, Alex soon became one of the youngest Regional Project Managers and lead journalists/photographers at the company. As a journalist for Rolling Out magazine Alex was privy to covering and interviewing major performing artists, corporate executives, bestselling authors, and million-dollar entrepreneurs. Alex’s editorial feature-length articles include interviews with; Tavis Smiley, Soledad O’Brien, Mayor Annise Parker, Council Member Sheila Jackson Lee, Solange Knowles, Rap-A-lot Records, Ronald Isley, and Stedman Graham to name a few. In 2015 Alex decided to use her experiences in the media industry to help up-and-coming journalists by self-publishing an Ebook titled “How To Communicate Your Way To Riches: The Mass Media Communications Handbook.”
After leaving Rolling Out Alex ventured into the news industry. As the Digital Producer for CW39, Alex, mastered the art of video production and digital marketing. During her time at CW, Alex, served as the senior producer of the Monday Motivation Fitness Show for on-air and online, covered breaking news as the digital MMJ in the field, and worked alongside the sales and marketing team to develop, create and edit viral videos, infographics and digital packages for social media.
While still working full-time in the news industry Alex was able to brand herself and branch out to create one of the more prominent PR and video production companies in Houston. As the owner of AG Media Alex implemented the “3R” technique for small businesses; Revive, Rebrand, and Reinvent.
Alex’s winning technique and innate charm led the company to sign Houston Texan LB Chris Landrum as a client along with, the African American Selfie Museum, and the Speed Shopper App and Tech Company to name a few. The company gained a successful track record for garnering local and national television, radio, print, and online exposure for their clients.
To serve as a one-stop-shop for their clients, AG Media added event, videography, photography, and production services to the company. To date their clientele has included; The Sisters Network Cancer Society, Beacon Home Health Care, Courvoisier Gold, Courvoisier Rosè, 1800 Tequila, The Top 25 Women of Houston, Black McDonald’s Owners and Operators, The Steed Society, TWEF, and the Metamorphosis Women’s Conference.
In 2016 the company began a partnership with GoGo Business Communications to incorporate advertising, digital marketing, website, and app design within the company. As of 2019, the partnership helped to secure a sexual prevention on-campus App development deal with Prairie View A &M University.
Currently, AG Media serves as the lead marketing and public relations firm for Hodges Communications Group, LLC and its roster of clients.
