PRODUCTION

AG Media prides itself on using the leading
production and editing software in the industry.

After leaving Rolling Out, Alexandria Green Jones ventured into the news industry where she became a Digital Producer for the CW39 news station. During her time at CW, Alex was tasked with covering local and national breaking news alerts, on-air interviews, and viral social media marketing.

After leaving the CW39 in 2018, Alex joined Interior Designer Corey Ivory to create the world’s first African American Selfie museum. The museum launched in February of 2019 as a black history pop-up exhibit inside of Booked Design Space in the heart of Montrose. Every month the exhibit, which has been dubbed the #AFAMEXPERIENCE rotates to feature one-of-a-kind photo opportunities based on African American Experiences and pop culture throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.

n 2014 Alex was able to brand herself and branch out to create one of the more prominent photography companies in Houston. Alex’s photography clientele has included; The Sisters Network Cancer Society, Beacon Home Health Care, Courvoisier Gold, Courvoisier Rosè, 1800 Tequila, The Top 25 Women of Houston, Black McDonald’s Owners and Operators, The Steed Society, TWEF and the Metamorphosis Women’s Conference.

In 2015 Alex decided to use her experiences in the media industry to help up and coming journalist by self-publishing an Ebook titled “How To Communicate Your Way To Riches: The Mass Media Communications Handbook.”

s the co-owner of Booked Design Space, I have been instrumental in helping to make it the home of the #AFAMEXPERIENCE. I work side by side with the creative director Corey Ivory and other local artists to help develop the monthly selfie exhibits and art installations. I like to describe myself as a pop culture connoisseur and a lover of visual and tactile imagery, which helps to constantly keep me inspired.

The exhibit has allowed me to combine what inspires me with my background in photography, videography, and mass media by awakening the minds of our audience with what I like to call a visual sensory overload. The fact that it’s also a black history teaching moment makes it that much more gratifying. Every month we get to show everyone the beauty of black culture through art and symbolism, but we also get to teach others who aren’t familiar with the culture in a welcoming environment. I think that’s the big take away. Being able to give someone that a-ha moment! Plus you get to walk away with some really dope selfies.

Production

Alex was able to brand herself and branch out to create one of the more prominent PR and video production companies in Houston. As the owner of AG Media Alex implemented the “3R” technique for small businesses; Revive, Rebrand, and Reinvent.

Alex’s winning technique and innate charm led the company to sign Houston Texan LB Chris Landrum as a client along with, the African American Selfie Museum, and the Speed Shopper App and Tech Company to name a few.  The company gained a successful track record for garnering local and national television, radio, print, and online exposure for their clients.

To serve as a one-stop-shop for their clients, AG Media added event, videography, photography, and production services to the company. To date their clientele has included; The Sisters Network Cancer Society, Beacon Home Health Care, Courvoisier Gold, Courvoisier Rosè, 1800 Tequila, The Top 25 Women of Houston, Black McDonald’s Owners and Operators, The Steed Society, TWEF, and the Metamorphosis Women’s Conference.

In 2016 the company began a partnership with GoGo Business Communications to incorporate advertising, digital marketing, website, and app design within the company. As of 2019, the partnership helped to secure a sexual prevention on-campus App development deal with Prairie View A &M University.
